Lauren Forster

Lauren Forster is a portrait and documentary photographer; her work mainly addresses sociological issues and explores the human condition with her family playing a central role to her work. She trained at The Arts University Bournemouth, receiving a master’s degree in Photography in 2018. Her work has been exhibited and published internationally, with exhibitions in the UK, Ireland, Italy, New York, Malaysia, New Zealand Korea and Japan. Her recent project God Has No Favourites has been published in the British Journal of Photography and National Geographic magazine and was presented as part of the 2019 end of life care conference held at University Hospital Southampton entitled: Looking through the lens at Dying, Death and Bereavement. In 2018 she was a winner of Portrait of Britain, winner in the International Photography Awards: Photo Essay and Feature Story, winner of the Source Magazine Graduate Photography award and a finalist in the Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition 161. In 2019 she was shortlisted for the Portrait Salon award, Kuala Lumpur International Photography Portrait Award and Wellcome Photography Prize: Medicine in Focus.
