Amy Corcoran

I am a London-based artist and researcher, whose creative practice is partly informed by my PhD (completed in 2019), which investigated public art interventions in migrant solidarity movements. Increasingly, my practice explores ecology, interconnectivity and the more-than-human, and incorporates film, photography, sound and installation. I employ sound to produce embodied experiences and intimate spaces for reflection. Additionally, through participatory works, I consider how relationships between artist, art and audience bring new ideas into being and catalyses other modes of knowing. In the current climate, I believe art holds power when it opens up empathetic spaces, including those moving beyond the human.
